Kicker: Milan show interest in Iranian striker must sell a player first

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have started to show serious interest in Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun but they will need to sell Divock Origi before making a move, a report claims.

As has been reported in Germany by Kicker (via GFNG), the 28-year-old is of serious interest to Milan and there is a very good chance that he will be leaving Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

There were other reports from Bild that claimed he has already reached an agreement with Milan on personal terms and he is desperate to get the move over the line.

Leverkusen recently signed Victor Boniface and that is thought to be a move that will lower Azmoun’s minutes in the Bundesliga. He was already featuring fleetingly, making just six starts in 18 games under Xabi Alonso.

Milan will need to sell Origi before they can make the move, with Zenot St. Petersburg supposedly ready to pay the rumoured €5m to re-sign the Iranian this summer.
