By Oliver Fisher -

A study from the source Kickest has revealed that AC Milan are almost bang in the middle in Serie A with regards to salary paid per point.

Since Elliott Management seized control of the club in 2018 they have made an effort to bring down the wage bill by getting rid of inflated salaries and backing younger players who can be developed into a core for the future.

As reported by Kickest (via MilanNews), Milan spent €1,140,000 in net salary for each point obtained in the 2020-21 Serie A season, between Bologna €1,050,000 and Lazio with €1,220,000, and quite noticeably behind a lot of the other top clubs.

Hellas Verona spent just €530,000 in net salary for each point, followed by Atalanta who spent €550,000 as they qualified for the next Champions League. Juventus actually ended up spending €3.03m per point while Inter – who won the league – are fourth most at €1.6m per point.
