Yesterday, the FIGC confirmed the kickoff times for Matchday One of Serie A Femminile. The AC Milan Women’s first match will be on Sunday, August 29th. The kickoff time will be at 17:30 CEST (8:30am PST or 11:30am EST).
You’ll be able to watch the games live on the AC Milan app, Dailymotion page, and La7. AC Milan won’t feature on the network for the first matchday, however. That distinction belongs to AS Roma and Empoli. The Rossonere will most likely be featured on the network later in the season.
The FIGC has also been working to increase the visibility of Serie A Femminile. Recently, they struck a deal with S&T Sports Group for a distribution deal in the Americas.
The group was founded by Stefano Turconi, who is an Italian native. The company also has experience with distributing the rights for CONMEBOL and competitions like Copa America and the Copa Libertadores, and for the NBA in EMEA and Latin America.
Turconi also has experience working with agencies and rights holders, more specifically with CONCACAF and the NBA.
The deal will give the league more visibility in the American Hemisphere. It will allow the games to be broadcast locally and allow the Rossonere to win over more fans.
