MN: Kirovski to remain in Milan position despite Futuro failure

AC Milan hired Jovan Kirovski to oversee the Futuro project, and after their relegation, there were questions about his future with the club. However, he will not lose his job.

Across the board this season, Milan failed. On a senior level, the club invested in the wrong people at the wrong times and paid a price for it. Next season, they will be without Europe. This was not the only big failure at the club, though.

In fact, it can even be argued whether this was the biggest failure.

Last summer, the Rossoneri started a new project after months of rumours, the Milan Futuro team. In simple terms, there was a vision to provide Primavera players with a middle ground before the senior team.

Players struggled in Serie C, though, or were not given the time needed, instead being among the senior squad’s bench on a regular basis. As a result, the club were relegated from the division in the Play-out.

So, many had called for Kirovski’s job to be changed or for him to leave, with it seemingly likely at one point. However, Milan News write that it will not be the case. Instead, he will remain in his role, whilst the club learn of their fate.
