Kjaer’s agent confirms he is ‘recovering very well’ and ‘can’t wait to return’

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer has given an update on his condition, confirming that he is ‘recovering well’ after undergoing knee surgery.

Milan have been without Kjaer since the away game against Genoa earlier in the season when he damaged his ligaments early in the first half, forcing him to undergo surgery which subsequently ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Since then it has been up to Alessio Romagnoli, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu to try and fill the gap of experience and quality that the absence of the Dane has created, with the latter two in particular forming a brilliant partnership in recent games.

MilanNews spoke to Kjaer’s agent Mikkel Beck about how his recovery is going and whether there is a date for his return yet, given the occasional murmurings that he could yet make it back for the last couple of games.

“Simon is recovering very well. He is following the rehabilitation program. He can’t wait to return to play for Milan. His contract? It lasts another two seasons starting in the summer,” he said.

It’s been four months since Simon’s knee injury. Is there already a date for his return to the field?

“Not at the moment, the doctor will decide.”
