Simon Kjaer has heaped praise on his centre-back partner Fikayo Tomori, but joked that he now has to learn Italian to go to the next level.
Tomori first arrived in Milan after Chelsea let him leave on a loan transfer after a stint of impressive performances for the Blues and for the England youth teams. His initial performances after becoming a Rossoneri convinced Paolo Maldini and the club’s management to make him one of the first few permanent transfers early in the window.
The 23-year-old centre-back has etched himself in Milan’s starting line-up after flattering Stefano Pioli with his technical and tactical intelligence.
Now, Danish international and club teammate Simon Kjaer has praised the England international, who grew up idolizing Thierry Henry.
Speaking to the microphones of Corriere della Sera (Via MilanNews), Kjaer said: He has improved a lot, tactically and as a personality.”
However, there is one thing that Tomori lacks, according to his centre-back pairing.
“Now, he has to learn Italian,” said Kjaer.
Milan kick-off their Serie A season against Sampdoria, as they look to clinch the Scudetto title from under city rival Inter’s noses.
