MN: Kjaer ready to return for Milan and bring vital leadership next season

By Euan Burns -

Danish defender Simone Kjaer is ready to return for AC Milan next season and his leadership and professionalism will be key next season, a report discusses.

As has been reported by Milan News today, the Danish centre-back is fit again and is raring to go ahead of the new campaign.

He was a key part of Stefano Pioli’s side last season until he suffered a very serious injury against Genoa in December 2021. That kept him out of action for the rest of the campaign.

Throughout his recovery, he was very present at Milanello and his professionalism was reportedly infectious for the other players in the squad, something that will have played a part in winning the Scudetto.

He is viewed by players in the squad in the same light as known senior leaders such as Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Pioli will certainly be thrilled to have him back in pre-season.

  1. A VERY – mind the caps – important member of our squad, in all levels. Anyone who cannot recognize this is simply a helpless moron… but anyway, I hope he’s fully recovered and fit for the new season, we’ll need his experience, leadership, class and bravery.

    1. LOL. He is better on the bench, simple as that. Ibrahimović was also the leader of this team and he didn’t play. One doesn’t remove the other. Still, our defence is stronger without him, it was proved by Kalulu-Tomori.
