SM: Krunic close to renewing until 2027 – why Pioli and the management all agree

AC Milan will soon announce the extension of midfielder Rade Krunic’s contract, according to the information we have.

The Bosnian midfielder arrived in the summer of 2019, along with Ismael Bennacer, to play in Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-2-1 formation as a mezzala. Although he has often found starts hard to come by, he has still racked up 91 appearances for the Rossoneri with 2 goals and 5 assists.

According to what we have learned through our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Milan are ready and willing to renew Krunic’s current deal until June 2027.

Even though he is not a guaranteed starter, the Bosnian is considered an important part of Stefano Pioli’s squad as he has shown a willingness to tackle any role or situation that the Milan coach has asked him to.

He has played as a central midfielder in the double pivot, as an attacking midfielder behind the striker and even as a left winger, showing his flexibility to occupy different positions on the pitch if necessary for the good of the team.

Moreover, his selfless and always professional attitude is an example for the rest of the dressing room to follow, with Pioli very much happy to have a player like Krunic in his squad.
