Krunic confident ahead of Milan-Lazio but admits: “It isn’t my favourite position”

Ahead of tonight’s clash between Milan and Lazio, Rade Krunic was interviewed by Italian media to share his thoughts on the situation. As Inter won against Hellas Verona, the Rossoneri need a win to keep their lead.

The Bosnian international will play from the first minute this evening as Franck Kessie is suspended. He will partner up with Sandro Tonali, who just about managed to recover from this game after picking up an injury last time out.

In other words, it’s a very important game for Krunic as he needs to show his best sides this evening. Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews.it, the Rossoneri No.33 revealed that he feels good ahead of what will be a tough task.

On the moment: “I’m fine and so is the team. Sorry for some absences, but whoever plays will give their best. We hope to win.”

On his role in a two-man midfield: “I feel good. It isn’t my favourite position in this formation, but I have learned several things in this last year. I obviously have to improve, I hope to do well today.”

On the group: “There is a great group. Even those on the bench are involved. The most important thing is to win. We hope to continue like this.”

The game is scheduled for 20:45 and as mentioned, Milan need to come away with the three points in order to preserve their league lead. Far from easy, but certainly possible despite the injuries.
