CorSport: Krunic may resume a starting spot in one of two roles against Spurs

By Oliver Fisher -

Rade Krunic is a candidate to play from the first minute tomorrow as AC Milan take on Spurs in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) writes that Krunic will be available for the game against Spurs in London having missed the defeat on Saturday night against Fiorentina due to a suspension.

The loss against La Viola saw a four-game winning run end, and Krunic was on the pitch for all four of those victories, replacing the injured Ismaël Bennacer in the midfield. He could therefore be a starter against Antonio Conte’s side, either in Bennacer’s place again (unlikely) or in the frontline in place of Brahim Díaz who missed the weekend game due to a knee sprain.

A lot depends on today’s training session and whether Brahim is involved for the entirety with the rest of his team-mates. If he is not able to play, then the Bosnian is ready to fill in in a different position as he has in the past.

    1. Yes, he’s been good on many occasions.. he had some ups and downs, but he’s not that bad. Especially with the squad we have right now

    2. Yeah, there is more than one idiot that called him Lord Krunic and similar names, and he has been one of the most reliable backups for almost any position. Idiots don’t understand football…

  1. My 11 vs Tottenham
    Maignan
    Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori.
    Saelemakers, Bennacer, Tonali, Krunic, Theo
    Leao, Rebic
We need another player with some pace playing next to Leao to hurt Tottenham on the counter because they will pin us back for most of the game.
Giroud is too slow and his hold up game has never been good.
Give me Rebic and let’s play them on the counter like we did vs Liverpool last season.

  2. Does anybody feel that it’s time to bench and rotate Tonali. He has really overworked and his lack of presence in recent games hasn’t helped either.

  3. Good line up.. well said.. I agree with you. But I will play Giroud..because of his layoffs. And work load in set pieces.
