CorSport: Krunic may resume a starting spot in one of two roles against Spurs

Rade Krunic is a candidate to play from the first minute tomorrow as AC Milan take on Spurs in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) writes that Krunic will be available for the game against Spurs in London having missed the defeat on Saturday night against Fiorentina due to a suspension.

The loss against La Viola saw a four-game winning run end, and Krunic was on the pitch for all four of those victories, replacing the injured Ismaël Bennacer in the midfield. He could therefore be a starter against Antonio Conte’s side, either in Bennacer’s place again (unlikely) or in the frontline in place of Brahim Díaz who missed the weekend game due to a knee sprain.

A lot depends on today’s training session and whether Brahim is involved for the entirety with the rest of his team-mates. If he is not able to play, then the Bosnian is ready to fill in in a different position as he has in the past.
