La Stampa: Ligue 1 head coach a possibility for Milan if Pioli were to be sacked

By Oliver Fisher -

A new potential candidate has emerged to take the place of Stefano Pioli if AC Milan were to decide to sack him, a report claims.

There continues to be an abundance of speculation regarding Pioli’s future at the club with some sources adamant that he will stay regardless of the club’s top four fate and others suggesting he is at risk after a disastrous 2021.

According to the latest from newspaper La Stampa (via Calciomercato.com), a new name for the Milan bench has emerged in case of the departure of Stefano Pioli in Christophe Galtier.

Galtier is currently at Lille where he is leading the French club towards their first title since 2010, with Les Dogues having a one point lead over PSG heading into the final few games of the season.

They have lost just three games in the league all season and of course took four points off Milan in the Europa League group stages including a 3-0 win at San Siro in which they totally outplayed Pioli’s men.

  1. Pioli’s days at Milan are coming to a close.

This game against Juve will determine his fate
This is a very big game for ACM and Pioli’s future
I don’t think Pioli is what is needed at ACM for UCL if they qualify
Gautier would be perfect fit and would lure possible future quality signings
The most important thing for ACM at the moment and for future is retaining Identity ACM!!!!
