La Stampa: Hypothesis of swap deal between Milan and Torino remains alive

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in talks with Torino over a potential swap deal which would see Junior Messias head to join the Granata, a report claims.

Francesco Manassero who is the editor of La Stampa was interviewed by TMW about Torino’s possible movements between now and the end of the summer transfer window.

He firstly remarked that there is the need to try and raise some funds before any more signings are made given over €20m has been invested to sign Vlasic, Bellanova and Tameze, so a sale cannot be ruled out.

Given the frictions with Lazio over Samuel Ricci, the possibility of Perr Schuurs departing increased. There are Premier League after him, such as Crystal Palace and Tottenham who have been following him for months.

Wilfried Singo’s name could become topical again too, as Torino would take less money than they were asking for at the start of the window and he could be part of a swap deal with Milan for Messias or with Atalanta for Soppy.

  1. Management should make the swap Messias for Singo, even if Pioli is against it.
The way the team has been playing in preseason and the strength of the schedule to start serie A, Pioli might be gone before you know it.
Never liked when a club gives a coach too much say and power in transfers. That was actually Mirabelli biggest mistake in 2017. He listened to Montella too much.
Montella signings were Bonucci, Musacchio, Biglia and Kalinic. He pushed for those.
Mirabelli signings were Conti, Rodriguez, Kessie, Hakan, Borini Andre Silva.
Outside of Pep and Klopp no coach in football today should have that power.
What coaches are available in case Pioli gets canned?

  2. Should be a no brainer. We are struggle to break down teams with a low block. I think that is because we have no width. Both wings including Theo prefer to cut inside. A player like Singo will definitively overlap the right flank and force to opposition to follow him to the byline, opening up space in the channels for our wingers who will in return open up space for our striker in the center. We need players like that to stretch defenses

      1. LOL. Your knowledge about tactics or defending is severely limited based on this comment. That’s why you have the extra mid in a 4-3-3. Most of your takes are pretty funny – just ask @Giancarlo lol

        1. Tactics? 4231 one midfielder drops low and defends the other goes forward. The 3 one is already forward.
433 one midfielder drops low and defends and if cthulhu gives, dictates play, while the other 2 push up.
It’s all the same shît Juro you clueless clutch..
Football is like chess, is all about controlling the field the formations are just for show…

  3. It is clear we have no Right Back and Second Centet Back plus Real Striker,
This is the rigjht one evrn Atlanta reached agreemrnt with torino as swap to Sopy by only waiting from sopy.
