AC Milan have put forward a sizeable offer to winger Rafael Leao in the hopes of convincing him to renew his contract, a report claims.
As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, negotiations are ongoing between Milan and Leao’s entourage – led by the lawyer Ted Dimvula – over the extension of his current deal which expires in June 2024.
Dimvula provided some reassuring words yesterday to hit back at newspaper reports that Leao wants the €150m release clause lowering and that talks had hit a standstill after a meeting that took place involving Paolo Maldini.
The paper gives the details of Milan’s latest offer to Leao: the management have put on the table a fixed €6.5m net per year salary, with easily achievable bonuses added on top that mean it would rise to €7.7m.
It is an offer from the Rossoneri management that far exceeds anything they have put forward before aside from to secure the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, given it is close to the €8m mark.
