There has been a strange and toxic climate surrounding Lazio for some time now, but an exception is in order with AC Milan in town.

As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) report, after weeks of silence and not showing up to games, Lazio fans will return to the stands of the Stadio Olimpico for the game against Milan, having decided to put their protests to one side.

The decision comes despite maintaining their disapproval of the club. Their stated goal is to experience one last great evening together in the stands, making their support felt before boycotting home games again until the end of the season.

Ticket sales on the rise

The instruction from the ultras in the Curva Nord immediately sparked enthusiasm among fans. According to the Rome-based newspaper, over 15,000 tickets have already been sold for the match against Massimiliano Allegri’s side, after only a few thousand were there on Monday night vs. Sassuolo.

Admittedy, a few thousand of the 15k sold are Milanisti travelling to watch their team in the capital. The number of tickets sold is expected to increase in the coming days and suggests a much more intense atmosphere than the recent matches at the Olimpico.

It remains to be seen whether the choreography announced by Lazio’s Curva will be authorised. The ultras are preparing a special initiative to accompany the teams’ entrance onto the pitch, but the final decision will rest with the relevant authorities.

  1. Their ultras are worse than ours. They’re like “Oooh look a big team is going to play us so we need to go see the spectacle and forego our principles for boycotting in the first place. “

    1. 1st that’s not true. 2nd: salty much? You just crying that now you will face an intense atmosphere as opposed to everyone after you and the 4 teams before you. I hope Lazio will smash your title hopes
