In January, AC Milan will ideally sign a defender, but it seems that they will be pushed back due to the pricing of one of their targets.
Signing another centre-back is a must in January, even if Igli Tare has already suggested that the defence is fine. Before the Cagliari game, he stated that the club were ‘especially happy’ with the backline, but questions can be asked.

Perhaps it was meant in terms of performance, but if one player gets injured, there are big gaps in the depth.
No chance for Gila
As a result, most would plead with the Rossoneri to add additional cover this month, and whilst a permanent long-term addition would be nice, a short-term option would likely be enough for now, just to see through the season.
The ideal, it seems, would be Mario Gila, whose past with Tare makes him an easy target. However, the Diavolo will not find it easy to sign him this month.
As Tuttosport, via MilanNews, reports, the Lazio defender will not be available for anything less than €30-35 million, a request that may be reasonable. However, it is far out of Milan’s reach this window. If the chance arises in the summer, things may be different. For now, though, they must keep searching.

Apparently Milan can spend €40M on Chelsea players only.
give them RLC and 10-15M
get a midfielder on loan until summer…
Idiotic. Gila’s contract is almost up and he won’t renew. Might as well wait for the summer.
But his contract ends in the summer of 2027 not 26 lol
they can’t sign anyone without money… RLC + 10-15M is more than enough
they were also thinking of selling Gendouzi to Sunderland and already sold ST to West Ham… 70-75M would solve most of their issues, excluding signings of ST and CB
We can get Nathan Ake, a better player, for that price.
Get Ake on a loan with an option to buy for something at $30m or less, and then choose Ake or Gila in the summer.
