Le Parisien: ‘The summer when everything changed’ – how Adli finally convinced at Milan

Some of the French media have chosen to focus on AC Milan players in view of tomorrow night’s game and Yacine Adli is among the profiles picked out.

Tomorrow evening Stefano Pioli’s Milan will challenge Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain in the third round of the Champions League group stage at the Parc des Princes, and it will be a homecoming of sorts for both Adli and Mike Maignan.

The French press are aware of the Parisian roots that both players have. Today’s edition of Le Parisien (via MilanNews), for example, dedicates a column Adli’s growth and inclusion within the Rossoneri squad.

The section is titled: ‘Yacine Adli, the summer when everything changed’. The newspaper retraces the stages of the French footballer’s journey, from his time in the PSG academy to his move to Bordeaux and eventual permanence at Milan.

At the beginning he wasn’t taken into consideration by Pioli, then this summer – due to some absences in the middle of the pitch – Stefano Pioli decided to convert him to a deeper-lying player and then chose to bet on him.

With his attitude and versatility, the Franco-Algerian player carved out minutes for himself much to the joy of the fans, convincing everyone. However, it is still uncertain if he will start tomorrow and there is a lot of development still to do.
