Le10Sport: Latest incident pushes angry Thauvin towards Marseille exit – Milan on pole

By Oliver Fisher -

It appears that Marseille winger Florian Thauvin is looking for a new club having made a decision on his future, a report claims.

According to Le10Sport (via Calciomercato.it), Thauvin has decided not to renew his contract with the Ligue 1 club which is set to expire in June, meaning he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The reason for this is that Marseille have slipped to sixth place in the standings after a draw and two defeats, and the France international was annoyed after he was subbed off in the 63rd minute against Lens.

The 27-year-old – barring sensational surprises – will not renew his contract with Marseille and will say goodbye in the summer, but an early departure this month is not excluded.

The most likely destination for Thauvin continues to be Italy, with AC Milan in the front row as Paolo Maldini confirmed his interest in the player. Attention must be paid to Napoli and Atalanta, who are monitoring the situation, as well as Sevilla.
