Le10Sport: Milan expected to table offer to Ligue 1 winger soon – why one hasn’t arrived yet

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in Marseille winger Florian Thauvin but have not yet made an offer, however there is an obvious reason for that.

Through our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota, we revealed how Milan are monitoring Thauvin and Porto’s Otavio ahead of the summer window as both are potential free transfer opportunities.

The former has 84 goals and 60 assists in 262 games for the Ligue 1 club, while the latter has 17 goals and 45 assists in 166 games for Porto.

According to Le10Sport, the Rossoneri have a concrete interest in landing Thauvin on a free but they also believe that no official bid has yet been launched from the Milan camp, just as Gianluca Di Marzio reported.

However, this ‘appears quite normal’ as the Frenchman is free in June, meaning Milan have only had the right to open official contract negotiations with him since January 1.

It is therefore absolutely not surprising that Milan have not yet sent a contract offer to the forward, especially since they are currently preoccupied by the winter transfer window in terms of sales, signings and renewals. However, there is little doubt that Milan will make an offer in the coming weeks.
