Le10Sport: Verratti the secret weapon as PSG want to beat Milan and Juventus to €50m man

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo is using Marco Verratti to try and win the race to sign Sandro Tonali, a report claims.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Tonali over the past few weeks as they look to add quality reinforcements to their midfield department that are in line with the project that owners Elliott Management wish to deploy.

It was suggested that Milan have made their interest known to Tonali’s entourage and that they are expected to present both a contract offer to the player and an offer to Brescia, while a €50m asking price has been widely reported.

According to a report from Le10Sport (via MilanLive), Tonali has been top of Leonardo’s wish list for some time now. The Brazilian wants to do everything to convince the midfielder to accept a move to Paris.

The former Milan sporting director is taking advantage of Verratti, who is doing real intermediary work to convince his compatriot to join him in the engine room of the Parisians’ midfield.
