Leao posts clarification on social media amid exit speculation: “No one else is authorised”

Rafael Leao has broken his silence regarding all of the stories surrounding his future, though he did not give too much away.

In recent days and weeks, Leao has been front and centre of the headlines surrounding Milan. Above all, it remains to be determined whether he will be sold after seven years at the club, something that would unlock the mercato for the Rossoneri in terms of incomings.

The Portuguese winger posted a story on his Instagram, which reads as follows: “My only thought is on the pitch: I’m focused on giving my all, every single match and every single training session.

“Just to avoid any form of speculation and false reports, I reiterate that I have long entrusted the management of all my interests exclusively to my family and my lawyers. No one else is authorised to speak on my behalf. My focus is on the next objectives.”

A sign or just clarification?

The most recent update from Matteo Moretto confirmed that Galatasaray are still keen on signing Leao but they might wait until the final part of the summer window to try and get a deal done late.

In the meantime, the winger chose to make an important point about who manages his affairs. In the present day, it’s not uncommon to find agents attempting to act as intermediaries, bypassing the person who actually manages a player’s contract.
