Rafael Leao will be one of the players who can practically decide the tie against Napoli on his own, but tomorrow he must end a San Siro drought.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall how Leao was virtually unplayable during the 4-0 win at the Stadio Diego Armanda Maradona just over a week ago and Stefano Pioli hopes he can be as important again.
However, Leao hasn’t scored in a Milan home match since November 13 last year against Fiorentina. Since that match, he has been on a very long draught that he hopes to end tomorrow evening.
The former Lille star has already shown that he can hurt the Napoli defence with his speed and his runs from the left side, just like he did ten days ago in Naples, and now it is time to illuminate the San Siro again.
So far in the Champions League this season Leao has only scored against Dinamo Zagreb, which is not a great return for a player like him who should be a driving force. However, the Portuguese seems to have returned to his level after a few weeks in which he was off the pace, and now eyes will be on him tomorrow.
