Leao came off the bench with Portugal already well in command of the game and heading for their first win, but with a point to prove the winger provided the exclamation mark on the performance.

Coming in off the left side, the Milan man was on hand to provide a beautiful first-time finish with his right foot into the top corner, with the ball having deflected perfectly into the path of his run.

Given that Leao has already declared his desire to try a new adventure after seven years with the Rossoneri, we will have to see if that kick starts a positive World Cup and drums up some interest.

yes, not talked much about, but I also think we may have some issues with his medicals. His issues in the groin area seem to show up every time he decides to make a bit more effort and a few more sprints than usual. Could also be a reason why he almost stopped making such runs in the past year or so…

I’d like him to stay but can understand why he’d want to move on after 7 years. Watching this ownership send the club backwards.
In those seven years, we were behind Inter (the club Leao rejected before joining us) six times and on six occasions (every year practically), not to mention and compare achievements in the CL and in other competitions. What else is Leao supposed to think and how else is he supposed to feel?
