Members of the AC Milan team may not have stayed up last night to watch Portugal’s game against Colombia, but they will be happy about the performance.
With the new Portuguese theme at Milanello, perhaps there were slightly more eyes from Milan on the Selecao’s game last night. However, it was not the best performance from their team as they drew 0-0.

Leao’s return
Yet again, Leao was looked to by coach Roberto Martinez and the star almost had an immediate impact on the game. Indeed, he managed three successful dribbles in four attempts and even won four of his six duels, as MilanVibes reports.
It is a welcome reintroduction from the winger, who has certainly turned the corner a little since his World Cup opener this summer.
Not to get too ahead, either, but it seems increasingly like he is refinding himself, which is only a good thing. Strong performances would be welcomed when he returns to the Rossoneri this summer. Alternatively, it could help drive a better price for him.
Unfortunately, Ramos was once again left on the bench, failing to even see a minute on the pitch. It is very clearly not an issue with him, though. Instead, a struggling Cristiano Ronaldo has played every minute at the tournament so far.
He is deserving of a chance, but whether one will arrive is difficult to see considering who he’s behind.
Portugal don’t need Ramos, they have Ronaldo to walk on the field for 90 minutes.

I really think Rafa could do well as a Super Sub for big teams whenever they are chasing a goal. I have watched him play for Portugal and he seems to have regained his explosiveness and defensively he gave “some” effort. However, every time Portugal made runsdown the right side, he never l crashed into the box creating with off ball movement. Basically Colombia would use both center backs to cover Ronaldo and then swarm the right flanks… killing the attack. While Rafa would not leave the left flanks and was often jogging behind the play. It’s also curious that Rafa is behind Felix.
That’s my opinion about him too. He is nothing more than a supersub in the last 20 minutes of a game when chasing a goal or if you need a counter. That’s his level.
