This morning, a new interview was released from Rafael Leao, but a report has suggested that it was filmed before AC Milan ended the season.
In recent weeks, there have been plenty of interviews from Leao, discussing his future at the club, or lack thereof. However, in the most recent one – which was released this morning – it seemed that he had closed the door to an exit a little.

Before, he has been quite straightforward. He wants to leave the club for a new challenge. However, the wording of today’s interview made it seem like there was still a chance of him remaining at the club.
Leao’s interview filmed before season finale
Unfortunately, it appears this may not be the case. As MilanVibes journalist Davide Capano reports, the interview with Leao was recorded in Late April, perhaps even the start of May. In other words, before the season had ended and changes were made.
Of course, this would make the timeline a little clearer. His reception in the final games of the season got worse and this may have heightened the feeling of wanting a new challenge.
It would also suggest why he stated that he was leaving the club in a place where it should be, considering their chances of the Champions League looked rather strong at that point…
So, that would lead us to the interviews now, where he is outwardly stating that he wants a new challenge, whereas before, he was still on the fence.
It’s certainly not the best look for him…
