AC Milan winger Rafael Leao revealed that the goal he scored against Slavia Praha is one that he has been trying in training as he helped his side to a comfortable win.
It was deja vu from the first leg as a red card for Slavia inside the opening half an hour heavily influenced the game, with Holes sent off after a VAR review following a stamp on Davide Calabria’s ankle.
Milan scored three goals before half-time just like they did at San Siro with Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Leao getting their names on the scoresheet. Jurasék did get one back for the hosts late on but the Rossoneri were just happy for it to be a routine night in the end.
The Portuguese winger had a big hand in the win again, having set up Pulisic for the opening goal and then scoring the pick of the bunch with a gorgeous shot into the top corner.
Leao spoke to Milan TV shortly after the full-time whistle at the Fortuna Arena to assess what was another positive night personally and for the team, with MilanNews transcribing his comments.

“Yes it was nice, it’s a shot I always try in training and I managed to score, I’m happy with the progress to the round and the good victory for my team.”
Now the aim is presumably to get even further?
“We want to push for the Europa League and try to win it, for us and our fans. We were not happy with the exit from the Champions League, we know that it is our moment and we are all excited to continue this journey in Europe. Now let’s think about the Verona.”
A word on the wonderful away support?
“I always say it, they are our strength and even tonight they were close to us. It’s nice to have fans like that, we play also and above all for them and for the support they always give us.”
