Rafael Leao will not be available for AC Milan’s game against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, having picked up a muscle injury in training.
Leao has made the headlines quite a lot this summer, keen on continuing his career elsewhere after seven years with Milan. So far, however, the Rossoneri haven’t been able to find a new club for their No.10, at least at the right price.

The Portuguese international thus returned to training at the start of August, and he even featured in the friendlies against Inter and Chelsea. A move remains very much on the table, but poor timing has struck Leao, who has picked up an injury.
Injury brings Leao to a halt
As reported by Luca Bianchin of Gazzetta dello Sport, Leao has sustained a ‘muscle problem’ and won’t be able to travel with Milan for their game against Man Utd in Poland. In fact, as things stand, he might not even make it back for the season opener against Torino.
More tests will be carried out today and in the coming days to determine the extent of the problem, but as said, you could definitely describe it as poor timing. Not just for the game obviously, but also the transfer market.
As Bianchin concludes, Galatasaray remain in talks with the player, but it’s difficult to imagine the Turkish side meeting the €50m demand.
