Leao sets new personal record with decisive goal in Milan-Verona

Rafael Leao scored the winner for AC Milan in their game against Hellas Verona on Saturday afternoon. It was an important goal not just for the Rossoneri, but also the winger himself who set a personal record.

The Portuguese winger opened the scoring within the first ten minutes as he was sent through on goal by Olivier Giroud. After the big miss against Newcastle, it was important for the former Lille man to find the back of the net.

As highlighted by Opta, Leao set a new personal record as he scored for the third consecutive game in Serie A. That’s something he had never done with Milan before, stopped at two games every time he came close.

He did, however, achieve this for Lille back in 2018-19 when he scored in four consecutive league games. It remains to be seen if he will be able to match this record next week, as Milan will take on Cagliari first and then Lazio.
