@Vero Rossenero Leao isn’t a defender and you won’t condemn or judge him for not blocking any dangerous shot he wasn’t built like that but learnt how to defend in training. All of us knows what he has contributed to Milan and what he’s capable of doing when fit. Only him taking 7 defenders of Napoli is a plus for him knowing we are one man down and needed to whirl down the time. Am not part of fans who easily forget the good deeds done by players before and write them off when they need our support. I have been watching Milan since 1985 and in the past 10 years we have player or 2 who are pushing Milan forward. And now he’s doing it with passion. For him staying this season is because of the love he has for Milan so appreciate him. Moreover this is not time for this negative talk we have an important game against Juventus so he needs our support rather than blaming him for not blocking a dangerous shot. What’s the work of the defenders and goal keeper block and keep goals. He went to assist.

Easier said from keyboard warriors, he is half fit, we saw him during pre season, he was clearly the arrow head and best player of the pre-season, and against Bari he improved on his aerial ability. I don’t dislike Leao. There are only a few professional athletes that I don’t like. The only thing that has been frustrating with him is, call it what you want, his laziness after the offensive play ends. It’s not about being a good defender or not, it’s about getting back to help the team out. Pulisic isn’t a great defender but even after a long run he hustles back to help and works hard. That’s all I want to see with Leao. We have 4 options up top and they are all needed. Pulisic is undroppable and personally I’d like to see how Puli and Leao work together when Leao is fit. If Allegri and some of the new vets(Modric, Rabiot) can help get the best out of Leao then a Pulisic/Leao combo would be nasty.
Yes, Leao doesn’t need to be a great defender. He does need to get in position to cut off easy passing lanes and be ready when there is a loose ball near him. That’s what Pulisic does. He’s not making sliding tackles, but when a player gets sloppy turning with the ball he is there to make a play on the ball.
I love your contribution and this is exactly how we should analyze it not throwing sheds at him because he didn’t come back or block a shot shot. Even the presence of Leao is a nightmare to our opponents in respective of how good or bad he plays. When’s fit he will compliment the good work others are doing

Yep. He’s the difference between 1st and 2nd. He’s just below some of our greats. His numbers are excellent. He’s far better than the fraud Rodrygo. Under Allegri, he could become a monster if he takes to playing as a striker. You can count on the fingers of one hand players who are tall, powerfully build and have insane speed and technique. Haaland and who else? Leao is a phenomenal talent AND he delivered a scudetto. I wish people would get off his back. He’s the most physically impressive player I’ve seen live.

Many Leao lovers still don’t get it, we aren’t asking him to be Maldini, just close down the god damn space for the last few minutes. He’s not a defender, he’s not fit, blah blah blah.
