Leao feels ‘a positive energy’ after speaking to Pioli and Milan teammates

AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao has spoken with excitement about the upcoming season as he prepares to get back into the swing of things in Italy.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese forward seemed to be in a very good place mentally as he discussed his summer plans and conversations with those at the club.

Leao has been enjoying some much-needed time off after want was a stressful season both on and off the pitch. His contract negotiations were long and drawn out, whilst his performances on the pitch suffered at times.

“I took a break on vacation thanks to my family and friends, but I continued training anyway. Now I’m charged up and ready to start the new season,” Leao said.

“I’ve heard from the coach and some teammates and I feel a positive energy. Thank you to the fans for the many messages of affection and esteem they send me every day, I can’t wait to get started.”

Leao has got a much greater stature at the club now that he is 24 years old and has got a long-term contract. As part of those negotiations, he requested the No.10 shirt and received it. He seems very aware of the responsibility that comes with that.

“Personally, I really want to do well and give everything, with this shirt and with this new number, within this club that I now consider like my second family,” he said.

It is selling well, as many more shirts have been sold with his name on the back than any other player.

      1. Came from geniuses like you and Juro, Milan=Maldini and players signed for Milan to hang out with Maldini

How does it feel now that its been proven to be false? Oh thats right you will just deny it and pretend like you didnt care about Maldini’s sacking at all lmao

        1. I still think the same about Maldini being sacked. But I’m not a pathetic coward like you. That is the difference. You literally made up I said something and you want to push it as true. You mentally ill coward.

        2. We do care about Maldini but that doesn’t mean we should not have positive thoughts after his departure.
His sacking is irreversible and therefore we need to move forward

  1. Stop with maldiniesque guys, we have to move on as a new season will start next month. Just hate the owner…lol
