Clubs are beginning to show an interest in signing Rafael Leao but the winger is happy to snub them all and remain with AC Milan, a report claims.
Leao has exploded this season after an inconsistent first couple of campaigns, racking up 11 goals score plus 6 assists across all competitions in 2021-22 so far and reaching a consistent level of performance in the process, becoming the leader of the attack in many ways.
MilanNews writes how PSG and Manchester City have expressed an interest in Leao but his renewal with Milan is only a matter of time. The former Lille star should pen an agreement to extend his deal until 2026 with a pay rise and it will become official when the legal battle with Sporting CP is definitively resolved.
Through a video-reel posted on his Instagram account, Leao talked about his move to the Rossoneri in the summer of 2019: “Milan revealed their interest in me. When Maldini calls you, I couldn’t refuse. And I took up the challenge.”
In other words, Leao did not snub the call of Maldini before and he is not going to do so this time, with a new deal now just a matter of time.
hahaha, I love when I ready nonsense like this and ” ‘x’ player is ready to snub ‘x’ club”. City had an interest in this player when he was at Sporting Lisbon and they were exploring a partnership with the Portuguese club, they deemed the player not good enough to pursue and moved on to other targets, that is the ONLY time City have shown an interest in him!
There are far better players already at the club than Leao that sit on the bench, not to mention they’ve got a few very highly thought of prospects coming through in that position.
Guardiola has already made it clear he’d rather not purchase players from Serie A because of the lack of quality and tempo of that league, with Joao Cancelo being the ONLY player that’s moved from that league during Pep’s tenure(and even then it took quite a while for the fullback to settle in!)
But hey, who doesn’t love a player/agent/club throwing around baseless garbage in order to generate better press/get a better deal!

I mean, they’re right though. He’s hardly snubbing them because there’s nothing there to go for. And would those clubs go for Leao? Maybe, and if they do then it’s a great opportunity for Milan to make a sale for big money. But do either need him at the moment? Probably not. Man City probably want some leverage or backup with Sterling’s contract and PSG may be on the lookout for MBappe replacements (assuming they already have Dembele lined up), but I don’t think either will be banging the door down for Rafa just yet.
