After reports that Rafael Leao is a negative influence in the dressing room, the star has now replied to a tweet denying this.
This morning, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Ruben Amorim wanted to sell Leao mainly due to technical and tactical reasons. However, the Portuguese winger was also seen as a ‘source of negativity’.

The new coach seemingly got on with him, but after requesting a transfer earlier this summer, his compatriot’s view is that he cannot stay. If he did, it wouldn’t be good for his teammates. A completely reasonable view and one that is shared by many Milanisti.
Leao’s response to negative reports
So, the news was relayed on social media by @DeadlineDayLive, a well-known account on X, and Leao has replied, making it his first interaction on the platform since June.
Original post: “Ruben Amorim views Rafael Leão as a negative influence within the AC Milan dressing room. The Portuguese coach is believed to have concerns over the winger’s impact on the squad environment.”
Leao’s reply: “Maybe you’re because you lying 😂😂😂”
The Portuguese is no stranger to replying to negative comments on social media, having had several spats with Antonio Cassano in recent years. Nevertheless, that doesn’t make it any better.

So Amorim concluded that Leao is negative influence but he is staying with the team and Fofana, Tomori and Nkunku were showed the door? How does it make sense? Obvious lie. He would have done the same for him, what is the difference to Nkunku? Nkunku even has a higher gross wage than Leao.

I could see Rafa being a negative influence. Not with things he actually says or actions he takes to be divisive but just with his lazy attitude.
When your highest paid guy feels entitled to just take a half a game off or not work as hard as the rest of the guys on the pitch it sets a bad example.

On the other hand, the leak of information about a “negative influence in the dressing room” by a major Italian newspaper is a clear indication that these leaks are deliberate attempts to force the player to leave.
