The first goal of the new season went to Rafael Leao, who headed in a Fikayo Tomori cross in a way that Olivier Giroud would have been proud of. In the second half, Christian Pulisic fired in an assist from Santiago Gimenez to essentially kill off the contest.

In truth, Milan missed several big opportunities to pad the lead even further and make it more of a statement victory, but the main thing was to get through and Lecce now await in the next round.
Loftus and Salad had goals in them, if it wasn’t for a few inches causing deflections. The team played well from what I seen.

Watching the extended highlights you can see how milan attack in numbers and defend as a unit. Something we NEVER saw last season. I know it’s against Bari but it looks good so far. I feel like allegri has a point to prove too since people wrote him off
