Rafael Leao and Goncalo Ramos took part in their first training session with the AC Milan squad earlier today, according to a report.
Due to their World Cup commitments with Portugal, Leao and Ramos didn’t join the pre-season until Wednesday this week. That’s when they arrived at the Rossoneri’s hotel in Perth, but the first session was on Thursday.
During that session, and yesterday’s (Friday), the duo trained separately to recover some physical fitness after a few weeks of enjoying time off. As such, while they were spotted in the photos that Milan publish from each session, they didn’t fully train with the squad.
According to MilanNews, today (Saturday) was the first time that they took part in the entire session with the rest of their teammates. The friendly game against Inter is scheduled for Wednesday next week, so now that they have returned fully, we might see them in that game.
There’s no doubt that the fans are eager to see Ramos in action, especially since he cost the club around €74m. Leao, on the other hand, isn’t as wanted by the Milan fans as he has expressed a desire to leave the Rossoneri this summer. Let’s see if that materialises.
