Rafael Leao was presented with a commemorative medal for reaching 200 appearances with AC Milan earlier today, and he branded the club as his ‘home’.
Leao has become one of the most important players in Milan’s recent history, and he marked his double century of games by scoring the winner against Fiorentina 10 days ago with a lovely run and finish.
As usually happens in these cases, before today’s training began at Milanello today, Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani plus Geoffrey Moncada and Zlatan Ibrahimovic gathered the team around to commemorate Leao’s landmark.
Furlani was the one who handed him the medal, and he said the following: “Rafa, you talk about Milan and you say that Milan is like a family, you say that the coach is like a father, therefore I am like an uncle! We are very happy to have you in our family. I recommend you: continue to inspire many young AC Milan fans.”
Leao thanked the management, closing his speech with the following phrase: “I am proud, very happy. Here is my family, it is my home. Thanks to everyone I hope to play another 200 games here.”

The guy is an absolute superstar – he has more talent than nearly every other player on the planet. I hope he plays for Milan for the rest of his career, and I hope he breaks every scoring record in the book.
He’s a fantastic player, a veritable talent, I always said that. And I fully agree with you, I really hope he can become a historical rossonero stalwart.
