Rafael Leao got the winning goal for AC Milan against Fiorentina tonight, and he answered some questions about his performance and his future after the game.
Milan made it six wins in a row in all competitions with an impressive 2-1 victory against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday night, and all three goals came inside a seven-minute period.
The first came from Ruben Loftus-Cheek as he finished from close range after Rafael Leao’s feed, but Fiorentina then equalised when Alfred Duncan fired into the bottom corner.
Tijjani Reijnders put Rafael Leao through on goal and he sat the goalkeeper down to restore the advantage for Milan, who move six points ahead of Juventus after their last-gasp loss at Lazio this evening.
Leao spoke to Sky after the game and tried to assess what was at times a frantic game, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
In 2024 you seem to have turned a corner…
“I think it’s the team, the moment, when the team is good I feel better. Today I have to talk about Chukwueze because he played a great game; I’m very happy for him because he had tough moments. I’m very happy for him.”
Will you stay at Milan?
“I have a contract with Milan, but I don’t know the future. I’m here with my heart. Milan is my home, I always say it.”
Can you tell us about your sweatband?
“Taking the stairs to go to the pitch, a child gave it to me and it was a beautiful moment. I felt it brought me good luck and I used it.”
What is your dream for the season finale?
“Winning something important. We’re in the Europa League, it’s very important. But on Saturday there’s Lecce which is very important, we need to get further away from third place.”
He will stay. We know it.
And Chukwueze is looking impressive now.
He could have helped Chuk more by actually feeding him the two tap in goals the were on offer.
Both times he went for the solo miracle shot. Was lucky that one came off.
I can see him, Theo, and Mike got sold in the summer along with Pioli who got fired by the management. And we started from zero again :/

If summer come and Mike, Theo, Leao, and Pioli still stay at Milan then i would be happy to say my dream is wrong.
