There are dreams that AC Milan bring back Theo Hernandez to reunite him with Rafael Leao. However, the pair could be together elsewhere.
What seemed like a possibility is now growing into a probability, and it appears that Leao’s time at Milan is heading to an end. It is a sentence that seemed possible a few years ago only due to the figures arriving, but now these suggestions are in place because the figures aren’t.
A few years ago, it would be the Rossoneri listening to nine-figure offers after seasons of continued output. But instead, his chapter at San Siro is likely to end due to a lack of output figures, something which he has never really got to the next level with.
It is a disappointing reality, especially considering that he has often been played out of position. Nevertheless, it appears that he may already be heading away…
Theao together again
It could have been so different and only a few weeks ago, there were hopes that he could stay and perhaps even reunite with Theo, who has been linked with a move back to the Diavolo. Now, that may still be possible, just in a way no one wants.
Indeed, the latest suggestions from Gazzetta dello Sport are that Al Hilal could make a move for the Portuguese having been interested previously.
A move to Saudi Arabia would be largely dependent on Leao’s own ambitions and whether he would consider waving bye to European football, even temporarily. However, it is an option that would be on the table and with Theo’s recent social media action, a reunion at Milanello seems unlikely.
