Rafael Leao’s sale has the potential to unlock AC Milan’s summer window, but there is not exactly an abundance of offers.
Leao’s fate remains shrouded in mystery, because after he made comments before the World Cup about the desire to leave Milan, there have not been many concrete moves from clubs in leagues he would happily join.

Leao situation stalled
Now, Matteo Moretto (via MilanNews) has provided an update on the winger, stating that Leao’s situation ‘remains at a complete standstill’.
He started this summer by declaring his wish to move on, perhaps helped by the chance to showcase his ability at the World Cup, but instead he only showed flashes in a disappointing Portugal campaign.
This, when combined with his less-than-stellar performances last season, is that Leao currently has only two offers on the table: one from Galatasaray and one from Fenerbahce. At the moment there is nothing from the Premier League, nothing from La Liga, or even from the Saudi Arabian league.
For now, the former Lille man is stalling because he doesn’t want to end up in Turkey and would like to wait and see how the transfer market unfolds to see if opportunities arise in his favoured leagues, England and Spain.
As it stands, however, Leao will join the Rossoneri squad in Perth at the end of July. If that happens, then we must see what approach head coach Ruben Amorim will take with his compatriot, because he doesn’t seem like a fit tactically.
In my opinion it’s too late now, he’s going to be frozen out most likely and sit at home and rap while earning a paycheck

Nah can’t you see all the signs? We can consider Leao is already gone. Whichever team he’ll land to doesn’t matter. The owner made a direct statement of purchasing Ramos (although I still think the amount is funny) as a club’s record, surpassing Leao’s.
That’s a statement he wanted to make saying we now have a new superstar in town. ‘You’re not that guy anymore’ kind of statement. The bridge has been burnt. The natural cycle has ended.

He’s already in the best environment he could possibly be in, only because of time spent here and the club making the environment for him. The lack of offers from elsewhere should give him a wake up call as to how other clubs really perceive him and whether or not they are willing to provide that same environment.. they do not. Yes he can produce but he has to understand that he’s been very well taken care of at Milan to say the least
As he was playing last year, he was more of a liability to the team. He is static. Always waiting for the ball and loses it on a one to one challenge. He is predictable everyone knows how he dribbles. He needs to shed weight and start working for the ball. Maldini had told him when he spent first year with Milan that he needs to develop further to be a superstar. Unless he is prepared to reinvent himself (and he has the talent to do that) better say goodbye.
He is decent player but the mistake Milan is making is believing that he is the Messi of Milan or Ronaldo of Real Madrid,he is just a normal player like the rest of the decent players.Keep him but as ordinary player not who will decide a match like Our Kaka
He’s going to stay as there will not be the offers he expected and Pulisic will be sold for 40ml. ACM need the money and any team interested will play hardball.
Not sure who’s advising Leao and they are advising him of. He’s not a spring chicken and has shown that he has no capacity for growth and development post the 21 Scudetto. The league knows to double team him and he simply passes it back. He hasn’t evolved his game at all.
He’s a luxury reserve at best and currently no big team needs one because their reserves are actually hungry for play time and huddle. That rules Leao out. So he’s left with the likes of Turkey and Saudia who’ll take just about anyone.
Is he stays he will be frozen out because he doesn’t suit Amorim’s system at all and won’t press or defend well enough.
Seems like it’s just tough for him to face reality especially since he’s shown that he’s not psychologically and mentally very strong.
