Sky Germany: ‘Desire to leave’ – Leao tells Milan of exit wish as Bayern Munich loom

Big news has arrived this afternoon, as Rafael Leao has told AC Milan that he wants to leave, which is massive.

It seemed that Leao was going to be one of the only big players to stay this summer. However, it seems this may no longer be the case. Massimiliano Allegri has assured the Portuguese of his hopes to make him a central part of his project, however, it may not be enough.

A desire to move

In fact, it seems it will not be enough, as Sky Germany, via Calciomercato.com, reports that the winger has told Milan that he wants to leave the club this summer. The interest has emerged and become serious very quickly, with the two parties in discussions.

This morning, reports suggested that Bayern had offered a cash plus player proposal to the Rossoneri, but no official offers have been prepared just yet, as this afternoon’s update states.

At least €70 million will be required for the player to leave, without considering things like bonuses or options to further raise the price. So it will be interesting to see if the Bavarian club are willing to cough up that much upfront.

Almost all of the key players from the Scudetto win are now market-bound, it seems, what a turn of events.

  1. Now the Vlahovic/Retegui links make more sense…

Pulisic will be the star and everyone else leaves to make more room for him:

    Retegui – Gimenez
    Pulisic
    Rovella – Fofana

    but it’s going to be:
    Vlahovic – Gimenez
    Pulisic
    Ricci – Fofana

Most likely Kim + 60-70M for Leao, which would make our defense more into:

    Pavlovic – Kim – Tomori
    Bartesaghi – Gabbia – Leoni

      1. we have him until 2028… it’s completely upto the management, even if he stalls 1 or 2 years, if he and his team is putting good numbers and he has great salary, he won’t whine

        1. Missing out on Champions league is huge. Pretty sure that’s Puli’s concern right now. As well as the others who are leaving. No CL next season is our problem holding onto our stars.

          1. And so everyone played excellently in the two matches against Feyenoord. It was clear how much playing in the Champions League means to all of them 🤣🤣🤣. Stop spouting nonsense.

      2. It makes no sense…..
It’s not fifa.. can’t just redo all squad get new players and one offseason

    1. Kim has fallen off pretty harshly after leaving napoli; performance and injury wise, I’m not sure he is the fix and he won’t want to be bench player either.

    2. I would much rather keep Leao and only focus on the broken parts. The attack is good why change it.

  2. Desire of Playing with kane, LOL. Leao is becoming more pathetic with his arroganism. So insulted that his lazy ass was benched so many times.. and is he going to play for bayern primavera? Wont be main player in squad

  3. It’s never a good signal when your best players are all leaving. Well I’m sure he will do well at Bayern.

  4. If he want go he can go asap is better we cash in than for him to be here doing nonsense we want a player willing to fight for this jersey

    1. I am sure it’s 80% falso at least..I just can believe how many people, “fans” here thinks it’s just like fifa to throw players together and get a new team

      1. I agree there is barely any truth to this especially considering that Leao has a contract till 2028 and the players being offered are all scrap.

  5. AC Milan starters for 25/26:

    Sportiello
    Emerson Gabbia Pavlo Terracciano
    Fofana Bondo Modrić
    Chuk Gimenez Okafor

    Allegri

    1. “We balanced the books and are in the green.”

Then, we come in 9th and the RedBird white knights will still defend them.

  6. Leao to leave to where? No way bro you all played Milan to this no Europe situation but you want to join a club which other players suffered to qualify? No bro stay where you played last season and leave when you play Milan to champions league

  7. Allegri must be regretting taking this job. Of our big players, only Pulisic will be left and he’s stalling on an extension now to, so if he doesn’t leave this summer, next summer he’ll have to years left and if we’re still out of Europe he’ll go then.

    1. They´re all´afraid of working with Allegri. They know they can´t hide anymore or be lazy when Max is there. Pioli gave them a lot of freedom, which only paid of because of a few very good veterans with discipline which kept things in balance. When these veterans quit, the true nature of some of the younger players became clear. They think they´re world stars but they know they´ll get exposed under Allegri and with his authority they´ll be the ones paying the price. So it´s better to leave now and get some warriors instead of fashionistas.

    2. Without champions league big players want to go.

You develop to be the best and against the best in champions league.

  8. These guys are selling anyone. Literally. Movable, immovable, doesn’t matter. Offer comes in, we’ll consider it.

How do you build anything if you’re selling everyone? Are you even building anything or maintaining the status quo? What has Max gotten himself into? What’s he gonna build here?

“Oh, You like Tomori? Let’s offer him to Napoli. You want to build around Leao, let’s see if we can sell him to Bayern. You want better centerbacks? Bayern are proposing Kim in a package, but we’ll take money instead…”

Milan is a joke now. Players have figured it out and want out. Agents have figured it out and are advising their clients away from Milan. Clubs have figured it out and are shopping our players on the cheap. Meanwhile there’s zero change, zero accountability, zero competence in management still…

Keep your expectations low this season folks, you won’t be disappointed …

    1. Realist thing ive seen today tbh. Doing a full clear out jus to bring in some trash 2nd tier replacements e.g Musah, emerson royal, chukewese. Milan is being run like a business, make as much profit for the owners as we can. Sold all our big players even and keeping pulisic who is probably going to leave next season. The image and name Of Milan is gone, Man utd didnt get europe and there big players are not leaving…

  9. Can’t blame our stars for wanting to leave. Interestingly all three of them were pretty shook up when M&M got fired and have not been the same since. This management’s incompetence didn’t help. There is no vision for the club, pulisic will be next to ask to leave.

    1. I think they were given guarantees by previous management that if they stayed, once we got out the red zone with FFP, they’d get a fair wage and they all made personal financial sacrifices to keep the core of the club together. Then Maldini fired. Tonali on the lowest of all wages sold. After that, it was written in the sky where the club was heading: nowhere fast.

  10. Tare was right when he said that any player that comes here, have to understand what it means to play for Milan and to understand the weight of our shirt. Yes, Leao played crucial role in scudetto winning season, yes, his talent is undeniable, but if you wanna leave – just go and don’t turn back. I’d rather have 20 unknown players who are willing to bleed for this shirt, than primadonnas who care more about their haircut than anything else.

  11. I don’t believe they would sell him below 95 million. Would Bayern give so much and do they need him?

For Rafael Leao, we had every year more and more rumours. And he can’t be compared to any other player in Ac Milan team. They paid him huge salary plus what he owed to Lille Sporting situation.

Leao is much below age of Hernandez, Maignan and Reijnders, and that’s why he can’t be easily used as easy target.

Gimenez Leao Pulisic is strong attack for next season.
Modric Fofana (for now Bondo, Musah, Ruben Loftus) good enough midfield. And with only one game per week, Modric could easily first team option player.

They need to resolve issue with Maignan and Hernandez, but even with them staying, they can help to come back at top 3 clubs for this season. Where club will gain again 80 million for season after.

    1. I think that’s why the various stories are around which player(s) from Bayern would go the other way. On the books, the sale would be something like 95M but we’d have to pay Bayern something like 30-40M for a player or two for them to be able to afford it. If that is the case, I hope Paulinha is one.

  12. All of you here are trying to blame Leao for leaving. Instead of to put the blame on the management who couldn’t put the team together but chose to dismantle the quality players for petty cash lesser than their value.

Smart management will give them what they ask for with 2yrs contract let them help Milan back to top 4 and probably won the league and can sell for much profit next season.

You expect Leao to stay when his best pair in Theo is leaving. You want him to enslave himself for the team with remaining garbage players left that were suppose to be sold instead Tiji . Mike and Theo and bout a Stronger team to win the league now that Inter have lost inzaghi and Napoli lost Conte.

  13. Let him go. Take the money he is bloody lazy.
He will be the same this season he does not want want to work hard for 90minutes. I no milan are not in a good place. But sorry this is the right time to let hom go. There’s loads of better players out there in seria so let’s go get them and get the old ac milan back in seria and Europe.

  14. I honestly think that in Bayern Leao with better players will be like Roben for Bayern. He has the potential.

  15. Honestly, I’d be happy if Leao, Theo and Maignan would left. I’d only miss Reijnders.

Every Milan fan kept thinking that they are top of the world players, but truth is, nobody wants to get Theo or Maignan even for peanuts, only Leao is worth something, but more like 60mil rather than 175mil like some suggested.

It’s a good time for revolution. I’d love to see Italian Milan again. Young players, without superstar ego like Theo or Leao. Strong solid group, without primadonnas, under Allegri’s watch.

    1. Don’t worry, they’ll leave. And you will enjoy watching Emerson, Terracciano, Bondo, Chuk and Okafor battle for Conference League next season.

      1. Heh, this year I watched them not even getting to Conference league with these superstars like Leao Theo and Maignan 😉

    2. You loves to see Italian in Milan when Italy national team has been missing out two consecutive World Cup and just got slaughtered 3-0 by Norway.

Some people are too deep with their nostalgia that they think current Italy has the same quality like Maldini, Totti, Del Piero, Buffon, Nesta, Inzaghi, Pirlo era lmao 🤣

  16. Best thing for Milan if it happens. He obviously helps offensively but goes missing often and doesn’t help defensively at all.

  17. No fuking way. He’s one of best talent in this club beside reinjders. But they insist, we must stay at 100M at least two break any record in this club, we don’t any rejects from Club de Fuhrer this summer.

  18. How about we all take a breath and not go mental every time some loony clickbait report comes out from every football media outlet. Wait until someone with credentials and tested sources gives a report. Otherwise you are all gonna have stroke by the end of the mercato!
Im gonna go to the Winchester, sit back and wait for all this to blow over…

  19. It is sad that our stars are asking to leave. This might be a reflection of many pertinent issues especially administration/managerial. I must say CEO Furlani and Ibra did very badly in many instances including decision making.
I guess we have to start all over again. Sacking Maldini has now proven to be costly blunder as the team has now completely disintigrated. It is time to restart from ground zero. Hopefully in 3 yrs we may be back.
For Cardinale, well, it is a disaster do far. If i were to see him, I will advice to step aside and sell the club to Arabs just like PSG, Man City and others. Forz Milan

    1. Lol this Redturd management doesn’t have the quality to rebuild strong team in less than 3 years, not when the high quality players leave one by one.

  20. Well without champion league or atleast UEL minimum , cannot blame the player, next year are world cup, every player want to play on CL . Looks like scudetto player already gone all of them. Alegri will be play 352 without leao, thats why ACM are linked with striker like retegui/dusan not winger anymore

  21. If these rumors are true. It would be a hard reset for the club. It’s not necessarily bad. You don’t want to keep players who doesn’t want to stay. Before anyone call me Redbird boy Chelsea had similar situation at hand after the invasion they were forced to sell some big names. But through it all they took a different approach with young players and it brought results 2 season later. The real concern at Milan is can we trust management to make the club competitive again. I speak for most when I say no only time will tell. But it’s not necessarily bad.

    1. Agree with all this.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing to say “this is the end of the previous era, we need a three or four year plan to get back to the top”.

But do you trust this management to make the right sporting decisions to do that….? I wouldn’t. Maybe Tare and Allegri can earn that trust, but it doesn’t feel like a coordinated plan so far.

IMO, the best thing for them to do would be to come out and say this. Take the pressure off the players, don’t burden them with unrealistic title expectations.

  22. They’re finally getting rid of all these lazy overpaid primadonnas and will build around the true professionals who always gave everything out there – Emerson, Pavlo, Terra, Bondo, Chuk and Okafor.

  23. Let it be, who wants to leave, leave right now. AC Milan should sell players who want to leave. We need players who really loves Milan. I think it will be better to sell Leao, Mike, Theo. Of course they’re great players, but if they want to leave, let it be. We need Italian players, like Chiesa, Rovella , Tonali, Gabbia, Bartesaghi, Torriani, Camarda who will fight for the team and national football. Players like RLC, Jovic, Abraham, Sottil, Emerson, Tomori, Bondo, need to leave

  24. Mike, Theo, Reijnders, and now Leao wants to leave. Next is Pullisic i guess.

These players realized the situation will be much worst once Allegri come in and ask them to park the buss while got yelled dai dai dai by him for 90+ minutes.

But eh, this club is pretty much done anyway. I must salute Redturd for destroying Milan in less than 2 years 👍
    Bravo Redturd 👏👏

  25. Sell him and buy Paixao from Feyenoord. He looks good against us in CL and has fantastic numbers in their domestic league, 16G and 10A
