AC Milan have been given some massively positive news a few days before they face Napoli involving their star, Rafael Leao.
The international break probably couldn’t have come at a better time for Milan and it seems they may have benefited from it. Perhaps it would be better to say one player in particular has seen the break as a positive.
Leao returns to group training
Before the break, it was clear that Leao was struggling and Massimiliano Allegri publicly stated that he should not be departing for international duty. Instead, he wished for the Portuguese to focus on recovery so he could attack the final weeks of the championship before the World Cup.
Portugal, thankfully, agreed and the star has spent the past two weeks focusing on getting back to 100%. Now, just a few days before the game in Naples, the Rossoneri have been given a reward for their pleas.
As Sky reported, via Calciomercato.com, the winger trained with the team at Milanello for the first time today, and he can be considered ‘recovered and totally available’ for Monday. It seems he is also applying pressure for a starting role in the fixture.
MilanNews also confirm this in their own report, stating that Matteo Gabbia was the only player absent from group training today. Indeed, a massive return and if he is 100%, hopefully we can see the true Leao.

And we all know that his groin is still messed up
” if he is 100%”
Don’t worry. He’s not. His problems aren’t going to go away “just like that” during the international break.
