Leeds United are serious about signing Noah Okafor and they have reached an agreement over personal terms, reports claim.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Leeds have verbally agreed a contract with Okafor and now the ball is in Milan’s court. The management will have to evaluate the Premier League side’s offer and decide whether or not to accept it.

In recent weeks, thanks to his excellent pre-season performances, it seemed increasingly likely that the former Red Bull Salzburg man would remain with the Rossoneri. However, the offer from Leeds could alter this.

With Rafael Leao’s injury yesterday in the Coppa Italia win over Bari – the severity of which will likely become clearer today – Milan may wish to wait before sanctioning the exit. As mentioned, though, a lot depends on what the Yorkshire side put forward in terms of a bid.

Fabrizio Romano reports: “Leeds United are close to signing Noah Okafor from AC Milan! Understand proposal worth over €20m has been submitted today, contract until June 2029 plus option until 2030. Final green light up to Okafor then deal can be done, with LUFC coach Daniel Farke pushing a lot.”

Meanwhile, Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Switzerland writes: “Leeds United contacted Milan for Noah Okafor, a player frequently scouted this season. LUFC aware of his fitness concerns + consider the fact that he has missed several medicals to be a potential issue. The medical staff will have the final say & will need to make a decision.”

    1. Indeed, we need to buy italian forward, maybe berardi in exchange of adli. Berardi is still tough left footed versatile player, especially if Leao/Pulisic is injured and Okafor is sold.

      1. Agreed. I always liked him and I think he’d do well here. I don’t think he will leave, he never wanted to and I respect him for it. We might end up with Chiesa instead.

      2. no, Milan needs a better player in the sense -someone who can be effective in scoring goals and assisting the team. In that sense I don’t think we should restrict the club to picking Italians when we know there are players in Europe who are cheaper and are equally or better than their Italian counterparts.

Berardi is too old and cant come on for a full 90 minute game anymore. I remember him sitting on the bench the last time Milan played them. The criteria is simple and making it more difficult by asking for an Italian is only going to hurt the team. If the club was flush with cash then sure but that isnt the case.

    2. 100. Chuk is so much more one-dimensional compared to Noah. But then again, 20 mil sounds like a good number. We can use it to get our top target in the striker dept as well.

    3. Chuck plays on the other side. More often than not, when Rafa isnt available, coaches move Puli to the left (a position he often plays in the NT) and Chuck plays on his preferred right side. I agree tho, Noah has been a great backup and squad player.

    4. if it’s happen, use that money + Chuck/ extra money to get Lookman, Atalanta ask 50m but if Tare can convince w/ Chuk as direct replacement will be great,
Leao backup, we’ve Salad & Puli can play there too

  1. It’s better to sell. He will never get consistent playing time in Milan.

Better to invest in someone more guaranteed.

    1. They bought him for 13m and the guy hasn’t played 30 matches in a season ever. We are robbing Leeds at 20m.

  2. No need of selling this guy.. the season is long and Injuries will strike. We don’t have any other winger who can penetrate opponents wing back apart from Leao.

We need his as Leao backup

  3. I would like Noah to stay. We need a “super sub” capable of scoring in the dying minutes of the match from inside the box and not some “shot for glory” from 30 to 40 yards out that lands in upper deck. If Noah is sold, who is going to fill the void? We have reached a point where every transaction must improve the team. Sell Beni and Adli since they are surplus to the plan but after them if someone is sold the new player must improve the team and not just a one for one. Very close to a strong starting eleven but we do not have the depth at every position

  4. at least get a replacement before selling Okafor, and not a dud like Vlahovic or Hojlund, someone who can play on the wing too. Jackson AND Kean should be done, considering we’ve spent -30m all summer.
