Leeds United are advancing in talks over the signing of AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, but the final green light has not yet come.
According to Sky in England (via MilanNews) Leeds are in advanced talks with Milan for Okafor, who would like to join the English club. The two clubs are discussing the price of the Swiss striker, which is expected to be around £13m, or approximately €15m.

Milan’s decision is now awaited, but according to Sky in Italy, they want to wait to know the extent of Rafael Leao’s injury before making a final decision. Leao suffered a muscle strain in his right calf yesterday against Bari, and Okafor would in theory be his cover.
Fabrizio Romano posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he spoke about the negotiations between Milan and Leeds for the former Red Bull Salzburg man.
“Milan could receive new money from the sale of Noah Okafor to Leeds. In recent days the English club have been making moves for the Swiss and are now ready to improve their offer to Milan: Leeds are in fact over 20 million euros and are pushing to close the deal soon,” he said.

“Manager Daniel Farke has called the player and is pushing to get hold of Okafor, who has already opened up to the possibility of moving to the Premier League. Now Milan must decide whether or not to sell the Swiss striker, who impressed Max Allegri in pre-season.
“But when these offers arrive, as happened with Malick Thiaw, it’s not easy to resist. Leeds wants to close the deal quickly and is already hoping to get Milan’s approval between today and tomorrow.
“Discussions between the two clubs are well underway, as is the one between the English club and Okafor, for whom a four-year contract with an option for a further season is ready.”
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan will evaluate whether or not to enter the market to sign a replacement for Leao, given that the Rossoneri would be a bit lighter on the flanks.

I’d rather just keep him, but the issue with Okafor was one of inconsistency and injuries. Who could we possibly sign? Chiesa?
If the idea is to switch to a 3-5-2 (which I still find intriguing to be honest) or even without using a 3-5-2, then we already have more than enough forwards in Leão, Pulišić, Giménez, Chukwueze and possibly Højlund if the deal comes to fruition.
So selling Okafor, who didn’t have a particularly great season, who doesn’t seem to neither succeed as a winger nor as a striker, and for 20M€ which is more than what we paid for him, doesn’t seem that idiotic in my opinion.
Chukwueze doesn’t seem likely to succeed either. We need to get someone of quality. We’re losing depth. We won’t always play 3-5-2.
Facts!
If the offer is 30m+ then consider
otherwise keep him
have to add that epl tax 😉
So let me get this straight: they are negotiating a deal to sell Okafor who had a pretty good preseason without identifying who would be his replacement and we are planning to play a 2 striker formation with only Gimenez as a true n9? Makes total sense.
Thats pretty much it. Same modus operandi as always.
Who replaces Thiaw ? It’s not de winter, that deal was already done. we have 4 cb’s for 3 positions?
Wouldn’t it be smart to sell players that you have a better player identified to bring in, you know, improving the team. i.e sell Musah because you have Ricci lined up
Still talking this nonsense? Yes, De Winter replaces Thiaw, and yes he is better than Thiaw.
De Winter is way better than Thiaw. Look at the stats and the overall quality of the player. We’ll probably sign another CB anyways.
i know that rigth now you might think that is a good ideia to keep him for squad depth. But in two months he will be out wih injuries and it wont matter how good his preseason was.
They should’ve sold him long ago. He has never been what would make Milan go forward. If we keep him, we would regret not selling him
So, 10 players were kicked out :
Reijnders for 62 mln
Theo 25
Kalulu 17
Emerson Casino Royal 9
Pellegrino 3
Colombo 9
Pobega 8
Morata 10
Thiaw 40
Okafor 20 ( every season injured for 2-3 months)
That makes more than 200 000 000 Euros, not bad)).
Now, the task is to get rid of parasite Bennacer.
Hahahaha. Good one with the emerson casino royal. 😅😅😅😅
Dont fall for the preseason magic to think that we are good for the season. Remeber last season that we had prime messi in the body of chukuweze against real, barça and city. Those oportunities to earn woney are priceless
Sancho is available for 20-25 …..
Musah, Chuk, Adi, and Bennacer are hard to rid off. Selling without nobody interested is hopeless.
Musah has about 2-3 teams interested, but Allegri wants to keep him. So unless someone forks up 25-35M he is likely to stay.
His sale would pay half of the fee for Højlund. We don’t really need him. I’ve liked him since the we played Salzburg. But I don’t see him as a necessity any more.
If the plan is to play 3-5-2 with Leao and Pulisic as contenders for the forward position then Okafor isnt that needed. We have Pulisic, Leao, Gimenez and one incoming forward for that, which is enough.
If we plan to play 4-3-3 as well, then we have Leao, Saelemaekers, Pulisic and Chuckwueze as wingers, and Jimenez who can play there as well. Also pretty well covered
I’d say take the money If we can get 20-25 mil and use it to secure a CF and one more good CB.
Guys we need squad depth. We can’t keep selling people because they are not Leao.
Anything can happen during the season. Leao played only 15 minutes against Bari.
if we kept Camarda and Colombo it would be different but we didnt.
Maybe you should actually sign some players first instead of selling the weakest depth position we have
Most of you here shouting sell sell sell. Do you think Pulisic and Leao and Gimenez can stay fit throughout the season.
We really need a back up and Okafor whenever he has been calling up he delivers.
He’s a good back so as Jovic.. it would have been smart to renew Jovic for 2 years since we playing only Seria A. And if we qualify for champions league for next seal we sell him for capital gain and reinvest in a more proven striker. But now 40m for a average player who can’t guarantee more than the goal Jovic will score.
That’s not a smart move .
At this stage of Milan, I don’t think Milan can experiment with leao or Pulisic as strikers for the season. The 352 will just for now and some matches. I am sure the 433 will be used for most of the season. Okafor may stay for redemption, but if Milan will sell him, we ought to buy a replacement from the league. He is more fit to play as a striker than either leao or Pulisic. But consistency?????
Sell and buy Gnonto
We should go all out for Kean now
What happened last night? Leao got injuried. What happened in our preseason? Pulišić got a knock that set him aside for the rest of the preseason. Those who remember Allegri’s first stint should also remember all the injuries his training regime brought. So if Okafor leaves, that means we only have Gimenez for a two striker system. Another striker is coming? Who? Hojlund for 50 millions or Vlahovic with his 12 million salary? Lmao, get down from that cloud. In the end they’re selling Okafor and get us Embolo and we’ll be left for the worst, remember that.
So Milan had way less injuries under Pioli or following coaches? Because I seem to remember otherwise.
What does Pioli have to do with my comment? I’m talking about Allegri and his injury record with his first Milan stint which was horrible. Selling Okafor now so late in the mercato is not a good idea although I support the idea of him leaving. It’s just too late now. We need ready guns not someone who missed whole preseason with his team and will need at least 6 months to settle in. Knowing this management it’ll be a foreigner from different league too.
Hojland first, then sell. Otherwise we may be running short handed up front.
They will sell him and make profit 2 or 3 million. 😂😂
At the end he is smart and go at Premier league.
