Leeds president admits wanting De Ketelaere and says his ‘quality will show’

Leeds United president Andrea Radrizzani has admitted his side’s pursuit of Charles De Ketelaere in the summer and has backed the AC Milan player to come good in the near future.

Speaking during an interview with DAZN (via Milan News), Radrizzani did not try and hide the fact he and his Premier League side were very keen to sign the Belgian midfielder from Club Brugge and the summer and did manage to outbid Milan at one stage.

The player had already made his mind up that he wanted to sign for Milan and was willing to wait until the Rossoneri managed to strike a deal with the Belgian champions.

He has not been very impressive in Italy so far though but the club seem more than willing to be patient with his development given he is a young player in a new country.

Radrizzani said on the player: “Yes, we were there too but then he eventually chose AC Milan…We’ll have to give him some time, his qualities will show.”
