Report claims Leeds United have reignited interest in Milan playmaker

AC Milan and Leeds United competed for the signing of Charles De Ketelaere over the summer and the Premier League side have not given up on signing him, a report claims.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Leeds tried hard to land De Ketelaere and even offered more money to Club Brugge but the player’s will to join the Rossoneri prevailed and he moved there for over €30m.

However, it has not been a stellar first season for the Belgian who has played 33 games in all competitions and has not yet scored, with just one assist to his name. He only has seven starts and has now been relegated to a substitute role.

De Ketelaere is also attracting the interest of Vincent Kompany at Burnley as per the report, as his compatriot knows the player well, and the playmaker’s mission is to secure a place in the Belgium squad for Euro 2024 which means he may be open to a move.
