Leggo: Co-owners of $40bn private-equity firm involved in Milan takeover

As the definitive closing of the sale of AC Milan from Elliott Management to RedBird Capital draws nearer, more names connected with the operation are emerging.

According to Leggo (via MilanNews), two billionaires Hugh Evans and Ramzi Musallam – co-owners of the fund Veritas Capital – will also be involved in the takeover of Milan.

Veritas is a New York-based private-equity firm that were founded in 1992 and generally invest in companies providing critical products and services. They have $40billion in Assets Under Management, as per Wikipedia.

This comes after MilanNews reported that the New York Yankees and Main Street Advisors (an investment fund from Los Angeles who have LeBron James and rapper Drake among their investors) will become shareholders in the club.

Kaiser Permanente – an American group with a turnover of $100bn that operates in the medical industry – will also be involved, as will LACERA which is the pension fund of Los Angeles County.
