Leandro Paredes turns down Zenit offer in favour of move to AC Milan

By SempreMilan -

Leandro Paredes certainly doesn’t want to leave Italy, or he definitely doesn’t like the idea of moving to Russia, as the 21-year-old turned down an offer from Zenit St Petersburg.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport resumes the situation concerning Leandro Paredes, a former Empoli playmaker who is under contract with AS Roma. According to the Italian paper, the Giallorossi will meet AC Milan this week to finalize Stephan El Shaarawy’s permanent transfer to the Olimpico and during that meeting, the two parties will start talks over the promising midfielder, Paredes.

A player-swap deal involving Paredes and El Shaarawy is not a plausible option at this stage. Tuttosport, who broke the news, also claim that the Argentine wants to follow his Coach at Empoli, Marco Giampaolo, to AC Milan.

We’ve written both that Giampaolo seems to be leading the race for the Rossoneri bench… and that Paredes (who belongs to Roma) has ‘liked’ tweets linking him to the San Siro club.
