AC Milan’s hopes of landing Saint-Etienne defender Wesley Fofana have taken a blow as Leicester City have raised their offer, a report claims.
According to Di Marzio’s latest update for Sky on Monday night (via MilanLive), Milan have Wesley Fofana of Saint-Etienne at the top of their wish list, but the problem at the moment is the high evaluation that the Ligue 1 side have set.
Now, French outlet L’Equipe (via MilanNews) have dealt Milan a further blow in the pursuit of their ‘dream’ target by claiming that Leicester have in fact raised their bid to land the teenager.
They calim that the English club have upped their offer to €40million including bonuses, a proposal that has made Saint-Étienne waver in their stance, as they obviously intend to monetise as much as possible from the sale of their prized young asset.
As a result, Milan’s main target seems to now be slipping away.
