Milan are working on a few sales, one in particular, to fund the remaining operations of their transfer market. Lucas Paqueta is the priority on this front, with Lyon keen on acquiring his services.
The Brazilian was impressive during his first six months with the club, arriving back in January 2019, but has failed to impress after that. Milan are thus looking to sell him while they can and it seems Lyon could be the destination.
According to L’Equipe, the French side have made an offer for Paqueta: a one-year loan with an option to buy at €18m. The Rossoneri, however, rejected the proposal as they want the option to buy an obligation instead.
Lyon are expected to come back with an improved offer, per the report, increasing the figures of the buy-out option. It remains to be seen if the clubs will be able to reach an agreement for the transfer, which would unlock Milan’s market.
