L’Equipe liken Milan’s Loftus-Cheek to ‘prime Vieira’ whilst praising Leao and Reijnders

French newspaper L’Equipe has been full of praise for some of AC Milan’s stars following the impressive 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

As has been reported by Milan News, the traditionally hard-to-please L’Equipe journalists did not hold back on their praise for some Milan players at San Siro.

One of the most impressive Milan players was certainly English midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who managed to dribble through the PSG midfield on multiple occasions.

L’Equipe likened the former Chelsea player to a ‘prime Patrick Vieira’, who starred for the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Inter after his very brief spell with Milan.

They also said that Tijjani Reijnders ‘showed Europe his talent’ with his energetic display in the midfield, whilst strong words were used for goalscorer Rafael Leao.

It was said that the Portuguese winger ‘tortured’ Marquinhos throughout the game, as the Brazilian defender seemed powerless to stop him.
