L’Equipe: PSG eye €35m Spurs target Piatek to replace Chelsea-linked striker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek could be a target for Paris Saint-Germain as they look to replace Edinson Cavani, a report claims.

Piatek’s future with the Rossoneri appears to be under severe threat having started the last two league games from the bench, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao preferred.

Polish journalist Piotr Kozminski of the ‘Daily Super Express’ gave his take on the situation surrounding the 24-year-old earlier on Monday, confirming that a move to England is most likely with Spurs leading the chase for the €35m man.

According to the online version of L’Equipe – as cited by MilanNews.it – PSG are beginning to seek out potential replacements for Cavani after it was announced by sporting director Leonardo that he will be leaving the club.

The French outlet claims that there are a number of potential options in Italy for the Parisians to look at, such as Gonzalo Higuain, Fernando Llorente, Dries Mertens and Joao Pedro – as well as Piatek and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

The report adds that Cavani is most likely to join Chelsea or Atletico Madrid this month.
